So much bright talent, around Nigeria is unable to realize its potential to benefit society, simply due to inability of the student’s family to pay school fees, books, and uniforms.
Simultaneously many resourceful working mothers, women with talents and artisans with potential for growth are denied the much needed access to credit.
Seeing this pain every day, the founders of HCBBO Foundation decided to act. We started this foundation to give back, to restore hope, and to help families who are struggling financially find their footing again.
HCBBO Foundation was founded by High Chief Dr. Olabode Samson Osedimilehin, the Basegun of Owo Kingdom, and his wife, High Chief Mrs. Oluwatoyin Elizabeth Osedimilehin, the Yeye Basegun of Owo Kingdom.
It was born from a simple but powerful belief: financial hardship should not stop anyone from reaching their full potential.
We believe every child, no matter their background, deserves a good education. And we believe women and artisans deserve a real chance to become financially independent and grow their businesses.
Education Beyond Financial Barriers
The most effective weapon against poverty is education and a foundation to create better future. However, in many government primary schools, secondary schools and technical colleges, the student have been left behind on the level of their talents due to Lack of Funds.
At HCBBO Foundation, we are determined not to let this be the final part of their life story.
We support students from low-income families with scholarships, school fees, books, and mentorship. We want them to stay in school, focus on their studies, and become all they can be.
Our belief is simple: no child should miss out on education because of money.
We embodied this belief in action in April 2024, kicking off with the first student scholarship to support children from backgrounds where poverty limits the ability to attend university.
This was just the first small step for us – but it was a hugely significant step which gave us validation that real change is achievable, and renewed our commitment to both learning and impactful social action.
Empowering Women and Supporting Local Businesses

Education is at the core of all that we do, but there’s another important thing we’ve learned: When you empower a woman or an entrepreneur in her community, the whole community rises with her.
Often, many women and artisans are gifted. They have great ideas, and they strive every day for the betterment of their livelihoods, but they simply can’t afford to get their businesses off the ground, or help them to blossom.HCBBO Foundation wants to change that.
We aim to offer micro-grants, business mentorship, vocational training, financial education and more in support of building successful businesses that will allow for sustainable incomes for their families.
Empowered women and artisans are independent, creative and can uplifting those within their community – which is how real development truly occurs.
Building Communities Through Partnership
We believe real change does not happen alone. It happens when people come together.
At HCBBO Foundation, we are growing a family of supporters, volunteers, professionals, and community partners. Together, we are proving that collective effort can create lasting impact.
We are currently developing more programmes that make a direct impact in the lives of individuals. This ranges from providing stationery to school kids to mentorship to young minds, from offering opportunities for volunteers to initiate community initiatives, to collaborating with partners at both local and international levels who champion causes for the greater good.
We set ourselves high standards and at all times operate with the highest levels of integrity, transparency and accountability, ensuring that all donations, resources and endeavours are channeled effectively towards impact.
Growing Support for a Greater Vision

It’s heartwarming how people are noticing the work that HCBBO Foundation is doing in changing communities. Our vision of community transformation is being noticed by individual leaders and community members.
One such individual is the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami, a well-known advocate and supporter of the HCBBO foundation’s work and ideals.
This kind of support shows that our efforts are making an impact.
As we grow and reach more communities, we will need more hands. More partnerships, more donations, and more community support will help us sponsor more students, empower more women, and support more artisans across Nigeria.
Looking Towards the Future
For us, every scholarship we give, every business we support, and every life we touch is another step toward a stronger community and a brighter future for the next generation.
