HCBBO Foundation 2026 Scholarship

Education is a tool that can transform lives, empower families, and create stronger communities. To the High Chiefs Bode and Betty Osedimilehin Foundation (HCBBO Foundation), the 2026 Scholarship and Bursary Programme was not just about putting money in the hands of many deserving Nigerian youths, it was a beacon of hope for lives across Nigeria.

The journey started right here in Owo and the communities around it, where the Foundation stayed true to its promise — supporting students from less privileged backgrounds who deserve a chance to learn.

Primary school pupils, secondary school students, technical college students, and medical students benefited from the programme, receiving support that would help them continue their education with confidence.

The scholarship programme later extended to Akure, where more students were reached through the Foundation’s growing educational intervention.

The vision of HCBBO Foundation has always been clear: to ensure that talented young people are not denied educational opportunities because of financial challenges. This commitment reflects the Foundation’s mission of bridging the gap between hardship and opportunity through education.

In Owo/Ose and Akure, the Foundation supported 203 students – a mix of high school and medical students attending public universities.

These figures are not only facts, but are good news of lives and livelihoods being safe-guarded, hopes and aspirations being nurtured and strengthened.

For each scholar who receives a scholarship, there’s a family with renewed hope and a community eager to reap the rewards.

The journey did not stop there

In a major step forward for its scholarship programme, the HCBBO Foundation took its educational support to Ile-Ife, Osun State, in partnership with the historic Olojo Festival.

It was a powerful reminder that culture and education can join hands to create real change. Through this collaboration, 40 students from 20 different schools in Ile-Ife received scholarship support, helping the Foundation extend its impact far beyond where it started.

At the heart of the Ile-Ife programme was a simple yet powerful message — every child deserves the chance to learn, to grow, and to become all they can be.

By taking the scholarship programme to Ile-Ife, HCBBO Foundation showed that acts of giving can cross communities and bring hope to more young people.

The impact of the 2026 Scholarship Programme is about more than just financial help. It is a reminder that education remains one of the most powerful tools for fighting poverty, building confidence, and raising future leaders.

The child who receives support today could grow up to become a doctor, a teacher, an entrepreneur, an engineer, or a leader in their community tomorrow.

HCBBO Foundation was established by High Chief Dr. Olabode Samson Osedimilehin, Basegun of Owo Kingdom, and High Chief Mrs. Oluwatoyin Elizabeth Osedimilehin, Yeye Basegun of Owo Kingdom.

The Foundation was created to support students, women, artisans, and communities with honest and impactful programmes. Since then, it has continued to create opportunities and give people hope through education and empowerment.

As the 2026 scholarship journey from Owo to Akure and Ile-Ife comes to a successful close, the story does not end here. It marks another chapter in the Foundation’s commitment to educational support and community development.

The HCBBO Foundation is deeply grateful to all its donors, volunteers, partners, team members, and supporters whose contributions made this impact possible.

Together, you are helping us create opportunities, transform lives, and build a brighter future for the next generation.

Education changes lives. Opportunity creates hope. And hope builds a better tomorrow.
